Depends what you want to watch really. There is BBC Canada which I've not checked out, but there are other channels that show British programming, ranging from Coronation Street to Little Britain....

I arrived in Toronto July 11th and took out cover with Blue Cross which was $328 for the 3 months. I think the plans all work out to be fairly similar.

Absolutely. Depends what you're used to of course, but generally the mobiles available seem to be a couple of years behind the UK technologywise. :)

Just a word of warning re Virgin. They operate on a different system here and they don't use SIM cards, so don't expect to be able to use the Virgin Sim in your UK phone when you get here as it...

If I was you I would travel to CHC in London to enquire. My medical was done March 31st and after waiting about 8 weeks I still hadn't heard anything so went to London. They dug my file out there...

Texts sent to me from within Canada are getting through to me. Its just UK ones that aren't.

Hi, yes people are using the correct number with the +1. When I was roaming on Rogers I was not having a problem, but now that I'm using the actual Rogers SIM card nothing is happening.......

Hi. I landed in Toronto 10 days ago and have bought a Rogers pay as you go sim card to use in my current mobile phone. I can send texts to the UK without any problems but am unable to receive them....
