TV in Toronto

You're kidding, I didn't know those rules applied to TV too - I've heard of them for radio (and curse them every time Bryan Adams comes on...).
That explains it. Does Debbie Travis fill this quota? I'm a bit confused about her, not known in the UK as far I'm aware, definite Northern accent, but seems to take up a lot of BBC Canada's airtime and do a gig for Canadian Tire paint or such.
I can't agree with the books, Calgaryblade, dreadful bookstores here, poor choice and very expensive. I'd have thought a city the size of Winnipeg could support more bookstores but apparently not.

Is terrible, all I watch is tennis now which is a joke in terms of coverage.
Everything that I want to watch I download.
And I just don't know why we pay $60 a month for it.
And I don't see things getting any better with the CRTC being in charge, if they went I am sure things would be better.

Debbie Travis is a transplant to Canada. Her production company must be in Quebec somewhere, as her shows are all subsidized by the Quebec government. She also does the show Buy Me about selling homes, but isn't on it just produces it. Big name in Canadian TV which alone with a dollar will probably get you 100 pennies.
She appears regularly on the local morning talk shows on TV here in Toronto.
