this is definitely one of the main consideration, Toronto public school system seems very good whilst HK is very expensive and it takes some time to secure places...

I have worked in a big4 and no manager is going to make HK$300k per month ! I got some estimates around HK$500k-HK$900k per year but it's quite a wide range so Iwanted to check if anyone had better...

I assume you meant HK$30k and not HK$300k ; I believe this is too low by the way in a structure where Partner > Senior Manager > Manager

Right now there is no plan for my partner to work, at least in the short term. so far I see Sydney as a better bet for long term plan and a better lifestyle, Singapore seems more a business place...

I think we are more looking for a permanent thing, we have lived in china, usa, london etc... and we would be keen on settling somewhere I guess, we also plan to have children in the near future so...
