It did not work for me, but you will get her number pretty fast. Be aware the e-client is anything but reliable, for some people worked fine, but in many cases it did not change from "in process"...

Your spouse should receive AOR in a week ot two and request for any additional documents (iff needed). She will also receive the file number.

You can land in Quebec and leave the province next minute. First of all you are a Canada PR and Quebec is part of Canada. I know tens of people who have done this.

Granted the file was open under e-client the you should type the following:
File No: BXXXXXXXXX (B followed by 9 digits)
Surname/Family Name: Family Name ONLY!
Date of Birth: YYYY-MM-DD (CORRECT)...
