i got four weeks plus a week off during chirstmas and i work for a university here. Universities and colleges employees (and i am not talking about academic but professional staff) tend to get more...

there are two English speaking universities in Montreal, my friend works in McGill and his job doesn't require him to speak any French, so it is worth looking into that.

Is the BUNAC visa (non-student type) that difficult to get hold of? How many do they give out per year? As far as i know, they don't have any restriction on whether you are already in the PR queue.

yes, ice skating is great! I am a skater myself. My advice to you is if you want to take this up as a hobby, see if you can invest on a pair of decent skates, the kind with solid ankle...
