No the letter came out of the blue. We went to Philly to apply in person for his renewal EAD...no luck there...but while we were there we had an inquiry on his AOS case started since...

I'm confused...is your son currently receiving medicaid? If he is doesn't that cover his prescription. If the child is "disabled"...there is testing etc to determine this...then it is irrelevant...

I'm confused...this is just the AOS interview right? Still a long way to go to citizenship right? Once PR status is granted you still have to wait 3 years until you can apply for citizenship...

Nope, not yet...he filed via snail mail. He didn't trust the online system. He did do receipt confirmation and we know they have it...now tehe waiting begins!

I really wish that Philly was still processing APs and EADs!!! They were so much faster than the NBC seems to be. Argh!!!! Why can't they just issue an EAD that is good for 3 years or your AOS...
