Well then Philly is once again back on track and doling our visas in a six month period as they did for many years prior to 9/11/2001
Good going.

Wow, how come all the other Philly people are still waiting (most filed at the end of 03, beginning of 04)? On the Philly website it says they are processing Dec 03 at the moment (and taking 15 months for AOS)

Yeah, not to rain on any parades, but we filed in February 04 and we're still waiting. We also applied for an EAD over three weeks ago (at NBC) and still no receipt!! I feel like we fell into some kind of Philly black hole. I want an interview!!!

Sorry to hear of all the others though who have been waiting longer.

MarDea - my EAD was approved last week (74 days I think it was). You should have got your receipt by now. I am so glad I did this on-line and not mailed it in.

[QUOTE=whistlestop01]Congratulations to you Jancunuck
Thanks for the well wishes - when my hubby filed for naturalization in Philly, we found the same issue with others getting interviews many months before us - my EAD and AP seemed to be a month late and I just tried to get my SSN 10 days after EAD issued and I wasn't in the SAVE system.I guess it must be our turn.
We have had a long haul to date - our AOS interview is 4 years after our marriage. Our complication was it made sense for husband to wait to become a citizen before we could file. As an "older" Canadian born couple, we somehow thought things would be easier for us - NOT! In some ways it was more difficult as Canadians are not eligible for the lottery nor can they adjust in Canada the way the Brits can. Fortunately, visiting was easy for us and we have not been seperated very much the way others are. I can say that this has been very stressful and it sure wears on you after 4 years - I wouldn't recommend it. It is also expensive - we have maintained 2 homes until recently.
With a number of functioned being moved out of the DO's, I am optimistic things will have to improve.

I'm confused...this is just the AOS interview right? Still a long way to go to citizenship right? Once PR status is granted you still have to wait 3 years until you can apply for citizenship (unless things have changed...I was absent from the forum for a while). Regardless congratulations on your interview...it's still a major milestone in this adventure called immigration.

I have no complaints about Philly whatsoever. They've been great to me, from the officers at the door, to the officers checking/processing my files/applications/interviews: all pleasant. My timeline has been pretty decent and I never e-filed anything, I always did everything through Callowhill. Very short times to process my stuff, very good service. I'm happy.
My timeline (summary):
From filing AOS to receiving the Greencard in the mail: 15 months
First AP: 2 weeks
First EAD: 10 1/2 weeks
Renewal EAD: 11 1/2 weeks
My only headache has been the social security office thus far. I seem to never be "in the system" (happened when I tried to get my number based on my k1 status and then again trying to remove the legend "work with INS authorization" a month after becoming a resident).
Philly timeline (long)
'03
11/26 . AOS
12/4 . AP granted
12/30 . K2 arrives
‘04
1/10. AOS NOA (date 1/8)
1/13 . Fingerprint noa (date 1/5)
1/20 . Fingerprinting. Re-applied for SSN
1/26 . SSN card arrives
1/27 . EAD NOA: interview 2/9
2/9 . EAD granted
2/13 . AOS k2
3/10 . AOS NOA k2 (date 3/5)
11/5 . Medical & vaccination
11/19 . Applied to renew EAD
11/29 . EAD NOA
‘05
1/6 . AOS Interview NOA (dated 1/4) for 2/2
1/7 . Biometrics for EAD
2/2 . AOS Interview – approved, stamp on passport
2/8 . EAD arrives in the mail (I have no use for this now)
2/26 . Greencard arrives
3/4 . Tried to update status at Social Security: "not in the system"
