Hi, if I am using my offshore jersey account to pay some expenses i.e. mortgage and other usual bills (council tax and insurances, food etc) would this be classified as remittance? i am here in uae...

what about if i comply to number of days rule i.e. in the UK for 90 days or less in the tax year or 183 days or more outside UK rule but my question is what if one has ties in the UK i.e. house,...

thank you all, yes this is difficult one. but I kind of agree with soukie's comment as my main concern is my daugther in year 10 and also son who is mooving into year 7 they both are in good school...

We have got some good news as all 4 kids got places in Al Yasmina (but my daugther preffer BSAK as they offer all of her 1 choice/favourite subjects). But still thinking from quality of education...

I am already here since Jan and the kids also visited abu dhabi and schools in april. I applied earlier in the year and have got places for 3 in brighton college (year 7, year 5, year 4)...

I agree with you [J] on the quality of education, i dont think it will be much different for primary or that good for secondary as back home. kids go to v good...

I have relocated to Abu Dhabi in Jan 2011 from UK. My wife and kids are still back in the UK and finishing their school year. We have applied here to BSAK, Al Yasmina and Brighton...

thanks bb, 20k for the year on cars was for maintenace, petrol and insurance (not including purchasing cost of cars).

the other idea was to leave the kids/family back here in uk as they are...

hi emirates, i will be coming over myself for 6months+ and if kids get the places in school then they will come to start school from Sep11. I may not be saving much but at least i will be meeting...

i will be living Jan in a hotel in Khalydia where my work is (near Sheraton hotel) but i need to find furnished place close to work (otherwise i have to buy things for the flat and then moving in...

hi sunsolaris, your situation is bit similar to me, i am moving from uk to AD and have the same package 60k pm and also have 4 kids (thinking about al yasmina and it will cost around 180k) and the 4...

yes they are for next year. Do we have to pay registration fee if i want to put their name on the waiting list? I am not sure BISAD but like AlYasmina as first chioce and would consider living in...
