I came out here on my husbands 457 visa and have not had any difficulty finding a well paid job. You are in a better position that your other half in some ways as you are not restricted...

I got my 457 within 3 weeks and have noticed on another forum that that seems to be really common at the moment. This is the normal length if the company has already sponsored before.

457 applied for today
hubby is civil engineer and he is the one being sponsored.
Advised that it will take a couple of months but that will give us the chance to sell our house.
