Yeah they do here for sure, self employed can lift £1000 to £1500 overhere without too much trouble. I cant think of a different short term solution, seeing they dont consider British trade...

Thanks for that info it is helpful.. my wifes brother is u.s. citizen and parents are green card.. She is not, if we do decide to try for u.s might just have to be the dv lotto .. ta v much

Thanks for your help guys, it appears that the usa dont consider trade qualifications on a point system like Aus ... i wouldnt want to immigrate to usa only to find i cant worked as a plumber,...

Just got a question really. Are British Plumbing / Gas / Oil qualifictions accepted in USA ? or like Australia do we need to start (almost ) all over again ?

Thanks for ur reply, its a few years off before they reach uni age, but i dont want to mess those critical years up their gcse / A levels. Only relevant offcourse if we do not stay in aus.....

i was not saying its inferior, it is however at very different stages. I have many relatives in aus who have done very wel in uni down under.
