I thought it odd that the newspaper article said that she got the RQ AFTER having written the test - I always thought that the test was the last step?

Do you HAVE To (by law) remain in the US after you apply for your SSN to receive it? I know about waiting the 10/5 days after entering on the visa before applying in person. But...

We are at TD in Kingston. They are fab. We have a great relationship with the bankers there and they can't do enough for us and always sort out any problems very efficiently.

I use a transformer. When I need to turn on the TV, I turn on the transformer. Otherwise it is off and presumably not a fire hazard anyway.

You just have to be sensible.
