Yes I understand that and agree on what you said. And I believe I can cover all that with proof of ties to Australia. And in any case I can take the risk, put my case forward and see what happens....

Looking at the train timetables its only 30-40 mins commute, which is certainly doable. I will start with those areas.

The only ref I have is a "File Ref" which is in the subject lines of all the e-mails and on the letter too. A 10-digit number.

I have double-checked my passport number, obviously I know my DOB....

Well I have finally got my PR visa through!!! Yippee! I feel so disorganised and sooooo much to do and soooo little time.

One question- the confirmation letter says I can use VEVO to view my visa...

I did read it, yes. I was confused because permanent and five years seem contradictory, hence the question. All worked out now. Many many thanks to all who took the time to reply.
