Furnished properties
It looks like we might have finally found a place to go to- Caloundra on Sunshine Coast. There's something about those two words that go so well together
The problem is a furnished house seems impossible to come by. I have three children so need a house really, I think
My furniture won't arrive in time so does anyone have any suggestions. I don't want to have to buy all the furniture required when I already own a load. Am stuck for ideas.
Thanks,
V.

Re: Furnished properties
How long will you be waiting?
Can you not camp in house for a few weeks? Get by with camping gear?

Re: Furnished properties
Most people make do with blow up mattresses and outdoor dining set used indoors etc until their own stuff turns up.

Re: Furnished properties
The problem is that my family are going out there first and I am staying in UK for a little while, sorting out all the stuff to send. Could be a couple of months with a temporary solution

Re: Furnished properties
Get the stuff sent as soon as you can then. It would be easier for you to beg/borrow stuff from friends family and neighbours and your family can receive their stuff sooner. We actually sent everything a month before we left so that as soon as we found our house, the container arrived.

Re: Furnished properties
I gave the address of some wonderful people on here who were happy to be of service then as soon as we arrived we contacted the company and gave them the correct address. Not necessary though, no one can give the right address when the stuff first goes as no one has their rental or purchased home sorted. As long as you let them know as soon as you know you shouldn't have a problem.

Re: Furnished properties
No just tell them roughly where you are heading. And get it sent asap, it doesn't take that long to sort out, maybe don't send the family too far ahead so there are less people sleeping on airbeds in Australia.
