The hospital also has its own staff childcare facility, a few of the girls in my office use it.
I'd imagine it has a waiting list but might be worth investigating as its open during regular shift...

The type of visa you have doesn't really matter, only how long it is valid for. As I said anything 2 years and over and you'll be fine.

As others have said as long as you or your husband has a visa that is valid for 2 years or more your maternity care will be free (although almost all ultrasounds providers now chanrge for scans)

Might be worth having a look at the NZ Nursing council site, I think they may have changed their requirements and you now need 2 years UK experience before you can register as a nurse here in NZ.

Its as good as the majority of the other malls in NZ, anything with a Warehouse and a Farmers seems to count as a mall around here. But, if you want more variety Westfield Albany is only 15 mins away.

Erm, Glenfield mall is 5 minutes from Beach Haven, there is also a Beach Haven ferry so you dont need to go to Birkenhead and the motorway is 10 mins away (I'm not sure what river you're talking...

I lived in Beach Haven for a year until I bought my own place a year ago (not in Beach Haven but only because I was outbid on the houses I wanted there)

I didnt have any problems living there....

I think you might live in a different world to a lot of us then.
I dont know anyone with who earns in that pay bracket who has a company car, I earn over $80 and I certainly dont.

Petrol is a fair bit cheaper here than it is in the UK so I dont think that'll be an issue! In general cost of living is higher though and choice is definitely less as far as groceries, clothes ect...
