Re: Frank Turner Gigs
He's whats called an English folk/punk singer (Billy Bragg-ish)
the cool thing is he filled Wembley Arena in 2012 then comes down here and plays to about 200 people at The Kings Arms in Auckland
Many of his songs are full of passion for an England we migrants would all wish still existed and is probably similar to what we
remember when looking through our rose tinted glasses
I would suggest the albums, England Keep My Bones, Love Ire and Song, Tape Deck Heart
Its hard to suggest any specific tracks but if you listen you'll find one or more that strike a note
Enjoy

He's really quite good. I think I would spend the money for a concert on his music instead though, I think I'm a bit over the hill for live gigs now. I can def see how he's compared to the Billy Bragg meister

Actually, I thought this morning 'Why not?' and it's not super expensive... so, yes am going to go to the Auckland gig.
I do wonder how some musicians "make it" and others don't - it does seem quite random. I read about Passenger and how the band split up and it was just the singer and then suddenly one moment makes them mega. IMHO this band should be huge
