As an Aussie I would say, no. It's the most boring and smallest city i've been to out of the big cities in AU. Also insanely hot and overpriced for what you get.. consider Melb or Sydney..

Gelato do you mean living costs in Italy or in Holland? i work with several Italian expats who tell me the cost of living in Italy is less (depending where you are of course) but compared to salaries...

I don't think there's a problem at all, i work in the IT industry here and i see new people hired everyday that don't speak Dutch. I've never been asked to speak Dutch in IT.. most companies are...

I'm with Menzies- my work pays for it, it's around 100Euro a month for basic health care, but they do cover most medicines. That's if you ever get anything out of a doctor here!

when I was in oz i used Revolution worm and flea drops for my cat, it also works on dogs - there's a dog version too.

it's outrageously expensive at the vet, but you can get it cheaper on ebay-...

it's actually not all that strict. i've done it but i've spoken to plenty of expats here who haven't done it. they give you three months from when you arrive to have it done if you still can't get it...

Thank you!^ There's mostly companies that do it to the UK and from there to the Netherlands, there's lots of pro's and cons against some of them but no one seems to have done this AU to NL move much...
