My info is condos are far from foolproof in Thailand. All condo buildings have to be 51 per cent owned by Thais. But the developers can rarely fill the Thai quotient. That means they pack more...

Malaysia is comfortable probably safer but you are limited to area where most of the foreign apartments are etc.
If you like a little nightlife Thailand is your only choice. Beer in bars in Malaysia...

Ditto that. I am moving in November , two weeks, but not from Spain but Britain. I went to Manila 15 years ago though so I guess my info is well out of date. I dont think it is quite rocking so much...
