Re: Decision time

Thank you, I have seen this option, but I think we are a little late in the game to change course. I suspect if we change to a different visa application, she will lose monies already paid and the...

Re: Parent Visa

Does the fact that she is over 70 mean she has to go for the aged parent contributory visa 864/884 or could she go for the 173/143? It appears to be $1205.00 less to go for the 173/143 (173 $2490...

Re: Parent Visa

Yes that is what I was asking. Just thought the 600 first may be a quicker way to get her here initially and then apply for 864 whilst she is here. I think she would prefer to try living here for a...

Re: Parent visiting for 12months with her dog

Thanks for the replies. In all honesty I think when it comes to the crux, the transportation of the dog will be the undoing of this plan. I don't think she could do it. It would be for a long holiday...

Re: Transferring money from UK house sale

Just worked it out on exchange rate then/now and even though the house was sold at a loss it would appear we made a slight gain with the fluctuation in exchange rate. Amazing. They always get you...

Re: Transferring money from UK house sale

What if we made a 'loss' in the last four years? Can we take that off our tax liability for the tax return this year? (It was actually early July that it sold). The exchange rate was less than now...
