Re: British Citizen Moving to UK with Turkish Wife

You might just include mail or a lease that shows both of you on it - the key is that you have to prove that you've been living together during that time. Anything that shows that you've been at the...

Re: British Citizen Moving to UK with Turkish Wife

- No problem Mike - :) As for applying for the spouse visa - you apply for the visa the same way for all three statuses. If you want to try for ILE or LLE (KOL req) then you have to have a little...

Re: British Citizen Moving to UK with Turkish Wife

I think your concern is valid. The problem with coming on a visitor visa with your wife when you intend to settle is that if the officer who allows you entry asks any probing questions they are...

Re: British Citizen Moving to UK with Turkish Wife

It is my basic understanding that if you and your wife enter the UK with the intent to settle there that she cannot be on a tourist visa. If your intent is to settle then she needs a spouse visa. ...

Re: Travelling separately on return

It wouldn't hurt to have a letter from you saying that you have already arrived in the UK and she's joining you. Here's a link to a forum specifically about flying and they have a link to a sample...

Re: Moving Back at 46

You'll first need to get a UK passport if you're entitled to one. The application information is on this site:

After that you...

Re: Late visa application

Yes - the expedited applications are processed before the ones that are sent in the mail - I would assume the same about which to use- but I would call one to find out. There's a good list of...

Re: Late visa application

An expediter can help you get your visa more quqickly - they hand deliver them .. I have heard of people calling an expediter who then intercepts the visa and gets it through the embassy more...

Re: UK Citz return to UK: Can US spouse to go in and out?

Hope that my notes above in response to your questions are helpful. You should check out the visas forum on http://www.uk-yankee.com for more info - it's geared toward USC trying to get to the UK.

Re: N-400 - Application today!

Interview went swimmingly! Was in and out in less than 15 minutes - they couldn't give an oath date because of the holiday so I have to wait for the letter.

So hopefully will be...

Re: Indefinite Leave to Remain - query over status

These sites are awful. They don't even use proper English or punctuation on the introductory pages! The ONLY source of official questions and appropriate information is the official UKBA site:...

Re: Anyone in the Austin, TX area ?

Just FYI - The World Market at the Arboretum has custard and other British bits and bobs. Also HEB at Parmer (the one that looks like an airport) has a good selection of that and all Eastern british...

Re: Moving Advice please from California to UK

My two cents - Unless you're shipping furniture that you're particularly attached to, I wouldn't. It's pretty expensive to ship - I've gotten quotes between 5-9k from Austin. It's about 3k just for...

Texas is great - the economy is better than a lot of places in the US. I'm in Austin, so I can't describe your town - but I will say that housing prices will appear absurd to someone coming from the...

Re: TRAGEDY! Cadburys Takeover Bid
