If you are applying online you will need your TRA reference to complete the online application.
TRA sent us the ref no via email as soon as they had received oh application - and you could...

We didn't have contact details for 2 past employers from Australia some years back.
Put the details we had on the TRA application and sent a letter telling them the reason we didn't...

We did the online application. When we paid our fee and got the list of required docs it asked for evidence of relationship to sponsor.
We had already gotten our sponsor to fill out form...
