Well as I work for a large american multinational company I'm guessing the visa extension should, in theory go through ok, so there should be no real surprises.

Yes I used Ladyhaye as well back in 2007 for a dog and a cat from London to Houston and everything went smoothly - although a little expensive. Just make sure you arrive at customs at the destination...
