dropping the I-130

I have a friend who's wife is here on a K-3 visa. They got an RFE from Nebraska Service Center on their I-130 but it is my understanding that they can drop the I-130 and adjust her status on the K-3...

I agree that an experienced lawyer knows how to fill out the forms and how to avoid an RFE. I also have read that about 83% of K-1 filers do it themselves. I don't think a lawyer saves you all that...
