Thanks for the congrats! (and to everyone else too!). Our visa was lodged with London office on 14th April, frontloaded with meds & police checks (no form 80) and we received confirmation...

I'm Aussie, living in Ireland, and it took me a while to get used to the flashing lights thing - in Aus, flashing your lights generally is taken to mean there is a police radar ahead and to slow down...

Many thanks for the info Shears. It looks like we are going the UK route though - works out a bit cheaper for us that way. The Brits offer far more options than here in Ireland.

why not just leave it in your Australian account and transfer funds via internet banking (electronic transfer (TT)) to your Irish account? that's what i do - just set up for international funds...

Glad to help you out if I can... We have decided to take our kitties to the UK and ship from there. We will be using Golden Arrow Shippers (www.goldenarrowshippers.com), and taking the cats to them...
