Health care covered by social security contributions or Private medical insurance?

Just wondered if anyone can help shed some light on which would be better. We are debating whether to go for private health insurance for two adults and two children which would be around 2,500EUR...

Thanks for that - that's exactly the kind of thing we're thinking of. Want to be able to have the children playing outside and not to have to worry constantly about their safety.

Somewhere without many tourists, with lots of Spanish traditional values and basically nothing along the Benidorm lines. Make more sense???! :)

Car insurance for right hand drive

We're thinking of driving our car over when we move to Spain later in the year as I'm terrible with a left hand drive. My inability to find 3rd gear with my right hand is really rather special!

That's what we were hoping for. Want to be able to spend time with little ones as they grow up and have a real outdoors lifestyle. Far better than wasting away lives infront of the tv.

Just wondering, are things like furniture more expensive in Spain than in the UK? And if it's not, is there much of a choice/selection?
