I've been asked to do my medicals and police checks again. I also had to give the last 30 years of places I've lived and jobs I've had!
I was 6 30 years ago so it seems a bit ridiculous but what can...

From looking at beupdate it looks like the average time for my type of visa is 6-12 months. Well it's progress....

This is pure conjecture!
I seem to remember that in December 2012 they were currently processing P5 applications from September 2007. According to the post by Renny they are currently processing...

Yep 4 years for me...I applied in Jan 2009.
I'm also category 5 and a LOT has happened in my life since applying (job transfer to the US) but we still live in hope!

It's the 'not knowing thing' that kills me. I just don't get how they can not give at least a rough timeline so we can plan our lives a bit...

That sounds very similar to our roller coaster! We've also been jumping between 175 and 176 since we applied in Jan 09. We're back on 175 now but not on any SOL or MODL - I'm an IT Project Manager...

In an ideal world yes but we're in tough times :)
My expenses are not taxable though, I made sure that was the case during negotiations.
