Thanks for your replies. I'd forgotten about the customs form! We'll fill in form like suggested and see which line is shortest. I travel back twice a year but never had to worry about this before...

Has your wife thought about training to become a medical transcriptionist? The work can be done at home and she would only need to go out to collect the audio tapes and then back again to deliver...
