Hi, I've used Seven Seas Worldwide when moving from London to Edmonton (AB) and have had no problems whatsoever. Similar to you, I only had boxes, suitcases and a keyboard.

Seems that I have found the answer to my question in this article. Might be able to move the RRSP money to UK paying no tax by converting it to a RRIF and setting up a SWP to pay money into my UK...

Actually, in terms of medical insurance your baby will need private coverage until he / she becomes a permanent resident, I believe. You can arrange a visitor's insurance to this end.

No, it does not impact these areas you mentioned. Your baby will still be entitled to free medical care, schooling and also child allowance. Note that some things are not free, such as day care fees...

Agree with everything. I live in Edmonton and if you think Calgary is bad, just try it here. Mountains (Jasper) are a 3 hours drive, and there is not much else to do unless you catch an expensive...
