As always, what clutters an atheist’s mind is confusion. Damn right, human curiosity is important, it is, after all, what Islam depends on to survive as a faith, since it is the driving force to bring the humans to know the creator.
My reference earlier to curiosity was in the context of body pleasures and human whims which according to you those curiosities should be unbounded and be free to manifest. |

I am not going to reply to your point because I have more important things to do. I’d rather give you a word of advice. Since this seems to be your first experience in indulging in an intelligent discussion, I will teach you this tip. Refrain from insulting your opponent because that would reveal to him your bankruptcy and incompetence

If you were man enough to shrug off the insult you'd deal with the point I'd made. Obviously you're not, so you just retreat from the debate. Let me give you this tip, little man: engage in meaningful debate and you will get some respect. At present, you have none.

Why do you frequent this forum? Serious question, You don't live in the Middle East, not British and never offer advice to newcomers - you just spout inane drivel to us. So why?

Re: Your New Year Resolutions
I think the more serious question is why some of our members continue to bite on your posts. You actually have nothing to say other than making contentious statements, which you utterly fail to back up. All trolling behaviours.

Re: Your New Year Resolutions
So back to the original thread - how is everyone doing?
Smoking, I'm still off them and it seems to be getting a bit easier. Drinking - failed twice, but quite proud that when I went to the pub I was not affected by the smoking around me. Fitness - Managing to average 15k steps per day on my fitbit and gym 4-5 times per week. Currently down 2.7kgs since 1st. How are the rest of you doing? |

By doing sweet **** all, just not eating shit. Added in the booze kill and I'm now 20 days without grog. That's impressed me the most. Smoking 20 a day now. Knew it had been creeping up but it's a solid pack-a-day and that's probably the next thing to work on... |

Really thought I would lose some weight by packing up alcohol but I doubt I have lost anything for some reason............One reason could be that I now know how to make sweet and sour balls just like home. The main thing for me so far has been the fact I have done things on Fridays that I would never do whilst boozing and whilst this is my last weekend 'dry' I will certainly drink much less going forward. |

I'm not even up to 10,000 average on my fitbit but frequently working from home doesn't help. I've only nicked a few cigarettes this year and drunk very little and plan to continue on that basis. Haven't lost a gram, but am still working through the Christmas chocolate. I could do with losing a few kilos, but it's not as if I'm obese. |
Re: Your New Year Resolutions

Re: Your New Year Resolutions
I am still booze free, 23 days now. I don't feel any different, I am not finding it difficult at all. I am sleeping the same, eating the same.
I also have soda water, mixed with a little bit of ginger and lemon cordial. I have dropped 8lb and upped my training. I am not sure if I will start drinking again to be honest, well, definitely not during the week, for the rest of the time I will see how it goes.:D |
Re: Your New Year Resolutions
So then kids. First quarter of the year is done... how are we getting on with the resolutions?
Patsy - booze free? Scamp - back on the booze, but what about the grub? Shed - still on the exercise? shiva - still cutting down the fags? Bluelionesse - Arabic? Brains - stopped the baccy? Those that haven't been able to stick to their plans, any idea why? What caused you to stop? Were the plans too ambitious? Today marked 61.6Kg for me (last time I was this I was about 24), down from 70.8Kg on December 27th. Mine wasn't a New Year resolution as such, but I was just getting offend by the man-boobs. Done it through eating a bit less and doing more exercise (well, actually some exercise!) No major changes. More just stopping the 3pm snickers and replacing it with a coffee. :) |

Put on a bit of chunk, but going to the gym more, well, I am actually going which is an improvement! Good to hear you've kept it up! |
Re: Your New Year Resolutions
I didn't drink at all in January and February and half way into March.I had a couple of glasses of wine at a friend's farewell dinner middle of March.
I am drinking some wine or bubbly if I go out for dinner, but definitely cut right back. I haven't been out very much at all .....I have been in a plaster cast and crutches for the last 7 weeks, I broke 3 bones in my foot... No, not drink related before you ask!! :D Anyway, I feel good, and can't wait to get back into my heels :D |

Think I really should try to do the same before my double chin needs resting on my midrift. |
