I gave up whilst in the UK..the combination of cost of a packet, the weather, not being able to buy them in pubs and nowhere to smoke made it surprisingly easy.

Not missed them at all, was out yesterday which was the big test and passed with flying colours.

Just need to get through a week at work now.

GOOD LUCK to everyone stopping smoking. This time next year you'll feel so much healthier

And well done Meow for over one year

Along with getting fit/losing weight/being careful with money, I am really going to do those scrapbooks this summer. Every year I say it but i now have boxes of things waiting to be sorted out. This summer. Definitely.

I don't feel any different since (largely) quitting. No healthier at all.

I gave up smoking as last years resolution (OK it took me until April to kick it but I managed it eventually).

I gave up alcohol, coffee, soft cheeses, and started a much healthier diet since falling pregnant in September so that's pretty everything that's fun already given up (for now!).

That just leaves Candy Crush to give up .... on level 306 I think my CC retirement looms.

Good luck everyone with their 2014 resolutions!

I have gone cold turkey and deleted candy crush. Let's face it, it's shit.

I have replaced it with Plants vs. Zombies.

On a personal front I'd like to cut out sugar from my diet (hard to do when half the food we buy is laced with the stuff),

I would like to cut my high soda intake .

I am now day 4 of being dry. In 20+ years (Bar 12 days) I have not gone more than 3 days without Alcohol so I have decided to see if my theory is true, that I am not addicted to anything I merely do it as I enjoy it.

The google horror stories have not happened, No shakes, No shit nights sleep or cravings And I am doing it for Cancer Research. (PM if you would like to sponsor me :) )

Do I feel any better?? Nope not at all and it is still just as difficult to get up in the morning.

Is this a 'January-on-the-wagon' jobby or a permanent change?
