"Too bad for the doctor. He should not have blocked another drivers way and he shouldnt have raised his hands. When will Brits and other foreigners learn that the Arab World places a great importance on politeness and civil behavior. The reason Arabs well behaved when compared to many others is because obscene loutish behavior prevalent elsewhere is not tolerated here, be it from a doctor or from a laborer.
I would rather some doctor faces inconvenience rather than turn the Gulf into UK where rowdy kids rule the streets and no one can do anything in peace"

maybe if this was shown to the drivers it might make them think twice and slow down.

The wife claims the driver had a baby sitting on his lap, which doesn't surprise me.

I don't know about you guys but I always thought that the middle finger insult was an American thing. In my 54 years on planet earth, I can safely say that I have never used this gesture. The occasional V-sign in my youth but not the single digit. How about you?

Occasionally, it seems to give more emphasis. A bit like saying Gezhundheit instead of Bless You. Sort of.

Sadly, while that sort of video works for us 'normal' drivers; the ****tards that those actors are portraying (and those driving the cars that were real-life footage) are the type that believe to their absolute core that 'it'll never happen to me'.

Oh Patsy that's horrific. Crying myself now. I'm sending that on. Sadly we all probably do drive safely. It the absolute ****wits who don't that arevputting our lives, and our children's lives in mortal danger.
I onced filmed a mum reading her victim letter that she wrote for the court when her son was killed at a crossing in the uk. Some arse went through a red light. It was unbearably sad. His sentance was minimal and I actually can't verbalise her reaction as it was such a devastating array of emtions. Her confused, pained face said it all. She wanted people to understand which
is why she was reading the letter for us.
I keep thinking of the truck I saw crashing into a tiny blue sportscar on the mussafah truck road the second week I was here. Went onto it rather than into it. About 70 yards in front. I think about it every time I get in a car here. It's definately affected my attitude to driving here.

I started to watch Patsy's youtube link at work yesterday but had to switch it off after a minute or so- just sat down to watch it and it is horrific. Some of he footage is heartbreaking and incredibly hard to watch- to see peoples lives wiped out in seconds. What makes it so sad is that often it isnt the reckless drivers lives who are lost but the innocent passer byers who lose everything.
Life is so precious and fragile- this is a gruesome reminder to live each day as if its your last.
