Anyhow, they've just brought out a vaccine for it for girls aged 12... so a happy side effect is no more verruccas or warts!

At least for girls... boys can still be minging.

While you are there ask to have your ovaries scanned too - ovarian cancer is another silent killer that can be treated if caught in time.

MH rightly creates the impression that taking the test is as easy as pie, but I thought that the whole scary thing about it was having to wait so long for the results and the subsequent all clear. Similar to an HIV test I suppose...easy to perform but pretty terrifying nevertheless.

I don't think that it's about the results...it's about the fact that it's perceived to be an intimate thing to be doing with a stranger..

really, good policy, mine doesn't cover 'preventative' medicine which I have always found stupid really! you can't put a price on it anyway.

Breasts, cervix, ovaries, whatever.............. just get it done. The consequences of not doing so are too terrible to contemplate.........
