I just got an email from Groupon or Cobone or something and they had a thing, which at first looked like a good deal:
50% off. 30AED instead of 60AED.
Buy Iftar dinner for two labourers for half price.
Shouldn't it be; 60AED but buy dinner for FOUR labourers instead of two?

Re: The Ramadan Arms
Price slashing on charity just seems wrong, double end product - great.
(Yes, obviously you can just buy two to get 4 for price of 2, it just seems the wrong way round to me).

I stocked up on booze yesterday and having read this I now have a recipe to make pork pies tomorrow. Managed to work my hours perfectly around the Ashes so I won't miss a ball being bowled. Even mounted the TV on the bedroom wall finally so the Mrs can sit in there and watch TV.
And its bacon, egg (not runny) and brown sauce for me with a glass of Chablis.

No booze refuelling for me!
Going to 'try' and make ramadam a bit of a detox! Saying that 10 days in Cambodia might screw that up a bit!

Just been to the mall and it made me think (again) why does krispy kreme close during Ramadan when supermarkets are still open selling food?

Re: The Ramadan Arms
I keep reading about everyone stocking up on booze, am I missing something?? Ive asked 2 Spinneys in my area of AD and they said they are open but just shaving off an hour either side of the usual times. The bars I frequent are open too but not playing music. Is it not like that everywhere else?
I've got passes in to the American Embassy for Thursday night parties too, apparently as its technically American soil, and they don't care who they offend, they still have a good rave session. On reflection though, would I really want to spend the night with a load of American Marines backslapping all night? Meh, I think I'll pass.

In Doha the booze shop closes and there is no Alcohol sold in bars etc. It is different to AD and DBX

I would rather kill myself, or not drink.
