Utd are the most average team to win a PL title, best of a bad bunch.

As it's been said, Giggs looked ropey, Valencia was poor and Chicharito spent the entire evening offside.

Barca were fantastic.

Best bit is seeing SAF taking a big fat slice of humble pie...nothing less than he deserves.
I think that's a testament to his managerial skills. They have looked decidedly average at times, but still won the title by 7 points. Not as good as previous years, but still got to a CL Final. True, they were blown away, but he did well getting an 'average' team to be Champions and CL Finalists?

Having said all that, Guardiola has some record now at Barca. Been in charge 3 seasons, and his ninth trophy? Where does he go from there?

No denying SAF's ability. But im my opinion it doesn't excuse some of his behaviour and attitude problems.

Not talking to the BBC because your son got accused (rightly or wrongly...not judging) of something is just poor I think.

Agree with that. But I'd be surprised to see a lot of the Utd players from yesterday / this season still there in 2-3 years time.

Guardiola has a tough task ahead. Fortunate that the likes of Messi would probably never leave (who get's bored of winning?)...but when Iniesta / Xavi leave, it creates massive holes that even the likes of Fabregas can't fill, at least not instantly.

The big challenge for him will be maintaining their dominance. Everyon remembers the XYZ Team of 67-69 etc, but not one team has dominated everything for 10yrs for example. If he can continue winning La Liga year in and year out and the Champs League regularly with a constantly changing / developing squad then he'll certainly clear any doubts about his ability...

Steady.

His control over press conferences is mind blowing as well. If you ask the wrong question, don't ever come back!

That's when someone thinks they are bigger than football.

I think that's impossible in todays modern game , some teams will have fantastic periods in all competitions , Milan , Ajax , Madrid , Barca , but to dominate for 10 years ?

Too many variables , sides like Barcelona come around once in a Lifetime
