At eight months, will she be fit to fly home afterwards? I though you generally weren't permitted to fly at that stage, presumably in case you go into early labour mid air.
Boat and train to travel back I'd guess...

A good friend of money is raising money for the Paralympics. She lives in Dubai. Details here for anyone who'd like to support her.

The missus has been tasked with organising a stiletto race for work, for their regions money raising event.

There is some irony in a bunch of people trying to run around in high heels, for the paras

Sadly, the lovely Michelle Jenneke didn't make the Australian team, but here she is at the recent World Junior Championships........... infectious smile, sexy warm-up routine, winning performance - what's not to like?

Promising-looking approach to Olympic coverage from OSN........ I've found OSN Olympics 1 and 2 on channels 540 and 541 - I didn't even have to call anyone to get those channels added........ good piece last night about Mark Spitz......

Doesn't the TV coverage of the opening ceremony start at 9pm UK time...I don't think I will stay up to watch, it will go on for hours

We're out Friday night so will download it to watch on Saturday. Better that way as you can fast forward the boring bits!

Don't you want to watch what director Danny 'Trainspotting' Boyle is going to do with his 'farmyard animals' theme?

Boys and girls - these Olympic channels on OSN are seriously excellent - just watched a superb documentary on the history of the Olympic marathon.

Suitably reverential references to the late great Abebe Bikila (winner 1960 and 1964 running barefoot) and Samuel Wanjiru (winner 2008) whose death last year at 24 is still being investigated...........

..... and in a typically British gesture, the games start NOW with GB-v-NZ in the women's footy - more than 48 hours before the opening ceremony.......
