She had the hysterectomy to get rid of the cervical cancer.......... but now this.
But I'm sorry to say this (and I have some too-close-for-comfort personal experience here) - if it has reached bowel, liver and groin, she's finished.
Very sad........... an ordinary decent working-class girl projected into a limelight she was never likely to be cut out for.
Max Clifford, you have a lot to answer for...............

I feel really sorry for her and her family, it must be devastating, so scary and a million other things, knowing you are going to die so young and knowing you are going to leave behind two young boys to grow up without a Mum is every parent's nightmare..
I recently lost a girl friend to stomach cancer who left behind a 10yr old son, and no one should have to go through that. It was heartbreaking listening to her plan her own funeral, style of coffin, the music to be played at her funeral, and the various letters and cards she wrote and left her son, to be opened at differnt times in his life (18th, 21st birthdays, christmas, wedding day etc)
Makes you thinking though about how we (UK, and others Im sure) behave / react to things like this news or in general
One of life's cruel ironies is that if you are rich and famous, everyone has a go at you, think they know all about you from Hello magazine or some such publication, do or dont like you and think they own you, cos you appear on their movie or tv screen, or sing a song they like or play for a football team tc.
Suddenly, dangerously ill, dying or dead, everyone sees your good side. Nobody wishes illness on anyone no matter what their reputation. It's a great leveller.
And then you have the publicity seeking / media side of things....which is even worse.....there's lots of people, PR agency, magazines, newspapers, reporters, TV who all stand to make bucket loads of cash out of Jade's demise and so it'll roll on until the terrible end, and worst of all the public will lap it up too. - What a world we live in eh. !
I appreciate that she says she wants to do interviews / sell her story to raise money for her kids when she is gone, but any normal person faced with this news doesnt publicise it almost immediately (or is that the work of Max Clifford ?), do they ?.
It just seems to me that her (or her PR team's) first thought, was to think of how she could use this information to her advantage, and its despicable !
Whilst I dont wish cancer on anyone, and certainly dont wish death on this poor girl, she should now just fade into the memory for her family's sake and let them all come to terms with it, and then grieve at the appropriate time in the future in private

Absolutely. I imagine nearly everyone on this board will have been touched by cancer including myself, and I found it pretty shocking.

She had pre-cancerous cells removed when she was 16 and was in hospital 3 yrs ago with uterus related problems. Her cancer should have been spotted years ago and if it had there would have been a good chance of her surviving it.

That's what I don't understand. I had a minor cancer scare about 3 years ago and I make sure I go for a yearly checkup to make sure it hasnt come back again, which is something her clinic should have sent her reminders for.

Even so I would have thought it should have been detected 3 yrs ago when she was receiving hospital treatment.

What a beautiful thought................ If I ever find myself in that dreadful position, I hope I have the courage to do something similar.
What a wonderful lady she must have been.
