My FB feed is brutal, so many friends in O&G lost their jobs. I've hung on to mine by skin of teeth. Worldwide phenomenon, projects closing down everywhere as companies hunker down for long term drops. Amazing considering that in the late 90s when we dropped to 9.7/bbl a 35$ world would have been wonderful. |

Two short interesting notices in the National the other day.
First is that developers in Dubai are sitting on 6,000 empty villas ready for handover but won't release them due to market conditions. Probably makes the owners of those villas very happy :sneaky: Second is that Sharjah rents have declined slightly for the first time in two years. I found this telling because Dubai rents have barely budged over the past year. |

It's cheap.
It may come as a shock to you but most people in this country don't make Western level packages. And Sharjah, despite being an awful place from western perspectives, is paradise compared to many shitholes elsewhere in Asia/Africa/whatever.
