Re: How is business?
Does military spending in this region generally track other gov investment projects or are they more/less likely to be axed?

Re: How is business?
One of the main stories in this morning's news bulletins on ARN was about the green light being given for various projects in Dubai. I can't remember the number mentions but it was a lot of Dirhams.

There is no problem with financing in Dubai. It is not true that our income has reduced by more than half, in fact we have a lot more money and we announce some great big financial initiatives. No problems to see here, now move along. |

Secure and working in the ME, not usually words you find associated. I hope you have an exit strategy like the rest of us ;)
Why make it out to be a big drama? |

Hhhmmmmm. Have you got big loans out for car, rent, furniture etc. Have you got a big spending allowance on your credit card and you've maxed it out? All of these things will trip you up badly if you lose your job or do something silly meaning that you are deported. Exit strategy means being sensible, unlike so many in the UAE before the crash where they were 'forced'to skip the country leaving everything behind.

No problems to see here, now move along. It's all okay. We now have a park that is covered in neon lights and a couple more Guinness records. |

Popped by on here to say hi
My FB feed is brutal, so many friends in O&G lost their jobs. I've hung on to mine by skin of teeth. Worldwide phenomenon, projects closing down everywhere as companies hunker down for long term drops. Amazing considering that in the late 90s when we dropped to 9.7/bbl a 35$ world would have been wonderful. |
