Documentaries can't give you the usually appalling smell found in zoos in the Gulf.

A bit of both. I've eaten both croc and alligator and they are best described as slightly fishy chicken.

Looks like fish, tastes like chicken. I'm sure there's a joke in there somewhere...

Have a look at these links:

http://www.radiotimes.com/episode/pk...1---1-botswana

http://www.radiotimes.com/episode/pn...---2-australia

Watched both (short) series and they were fascinating. The BBC film crew did a fabulous job - as they do with all their natural history programmes.

I went to a crocodile park in Singapore, we were the only people there, its stank and I got eaten alive by the mosquitos. I felt really sorry for all the crocs/alligators whatever they were, as you can tell it was very educational- and I felt even more sorry for the poor staff that were working in the pens- health and safety there was about as good as it is here. WOnder if they will have croc wrestling shows...

Ah yes - Live and Let Die (Roger Moore's first Bond movie)....... where they leave him on that little island in the crocodile (alligator?) farm........ I think we should replicate that scene when the park opens here: I'll volunteer to be the one who throws raw meat into the water so they all line up - then I'll run across their backs to reach the safety of the bank.......

Looked easy in the movie..........
