I'm not sure I have that much Celt in me. Border-land Scots and English are my main ancestral lines. Bit of Welsh thrown in, too.

One person suggested that it was Queen Victoria who made Britain great, however the OP didn't seem to know who she was. Other than that, apparently microbreweries in the US make Britain great.

REAL pubs are definitely one of the things that makes Britain great. One of the things I really missed in Australia.

Wogyer mean 'she'? The Vic is 'gender neutral', and too far away from your poor ignorant target for him to even know how great the beer/darts/live music/quiz night/spitoon and sawdust are! Cut some slack.

I do quite realise that US influence has made Britain what it is today, so I'm sure US microbreweries had a hand in this.

Britain is great, that's why they put it in the name you know. President thingo said that Britain was "just great", and Prime Minister thingo left the 'just' out-and that's why it's called Great Britain. :)
