FIFY. ;)

Seems you missed the stiff upper lip from your list;)

Btw, DR, you need to try French beer before you mock American. At any rate there are microbreweries in the US.
Here Kronenburg is regarded as a premium beer:eek:

Oh, I know the US has some great microbreweries. I was never too keen on the fruity ones, but I befriended a fair few good draft beers in my travels over there. I was just indulging my poor sense of humour.

I was pleasantly surprised at the beers in Belgium when I visited recently. Some of them tasted wonderfully light but were packed with alcohol!

Exactly! And angry koalas. Their eucalyptus breath is nasty.

Re: What makes Britain Great?

Yes, slightly off topic, but the French tend to have a beer to cool down or chill or whatever. So the strong Belgian beers are everywhere.
French beer - well my American nephews introduced me to something called Milwaukees Best.
Must have been brewed by a Frenchman.
Last weekend I had a few pints of Marstons with the son and heir. Who has finally renounced Lagers.
Pedigree HAS to be of the things that makes Britain great.:drinkingbeer:

It was Queen Victoria. I believe she left us some time ago.

A fictional pub in the inexplicably long-running TV show EastEnders, about a bunch of annoying twonks wot can't speak English proper.

The US now has many microbreweries, they're popping up like mushrooms all over the place, and their beers are finally starting to show up in mainstream restaurants. There are also many more specialist bars opening up with many "craft" beers and usually good food too. :)
