Default Things might have changed.

For those of you thinking of moving back and wondering if things have changed in your old area, here is a handy link to Police UK which maps all reported crime in a certain postcode.

Presently there are over 2,300,000 reported victims of crime every year in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. So using this search engine might mean the difference between having a pleasant day out and becoming a statistic.

Also a good tool for checking on the area surrounding any hotel you might be thinking of booking.

Just punch the postcode into the search engine and it will give you an update on the level of crime in that area.

Great link to have, thank you. Love how it breaks down the crime and gives a description of it

Interesting link. Turns out we had 5 crimes in our whole village/town in October, and 4 were anti social behavior and one a burglary but was outside the village same post code.

The odd antisocial behaviour and a bit of bike theft (well it is Cambridgeshire) in our neck of the woods.

Indeed....quite nice to read that as that is probably where we will eventually return to

Also good to see such little crime in the part of Derbyshire we came from......and it is mostly petty and reducing

Great link! There were 2 cases of ASB in or near my street in October. I only moved in a couple of weeks ago and it's dead quiet here so they must have dealt with the rabble rousers

So glad to hear that your crime rate is falling chris.

I welcome the improvement and notice that the rate of violent crime in UK is now down to only 2,000 per day.

I can only imagine how high it was before the recent improvement in reporting rates

Are you nitpicking on the use of language because of the general upbeat content of the posts here . Makes no sense to me if you are, given it is your thread.

I am sure I could produce encouraging or damning crime reports for New Zealand against % of population.

Bottom line. It is good news innit.
