Lovely day today in the South, blue skies & Sunshine so Im off to the beach ----- Friday they say is going to be 83f. and sunny, then we are going to get an Indian Summer,
You know something interesting I heard on the local Meridian News on telly last night, they said contrary to the popular belief ----- an Indian Summer terminology does not come from India but it actually comes from the American Native Indian, I thought that was very interesting, I always thought it was from India.

In Colonial New England and New York, Indian Summer referred only to a January Thaw, when American Indians Raiding parties could be expected in the western and northern areas: the ground had briefly lost its snow cover so tracking the Native American raiders back to their winter camps was much more difficult for the Colonials.
