Paste Special, Unformatted Text is the best way to go. When I have copied something from the web, I usually paste into Notepad to get rid of the bloat but the Paste Special is the best way to go if you are going to leave the content in Word. I forgot about Paste Special entirely.
If I read correctly I need to download Notebook before doing anything else.
True or not true?

Start/Programs/Accessories/Notepad (if I remember correctly as I now use a Mac computer)
One other way to do it, Cheers, as someone else suggested is to use the Paste Special command when pasting it into Word.
Edit/Paste Special/Unformatted Text
That gets rid of all the extraneous html code in the background which grossly adds to the size.
I develop web sites so I have learned to stay right away from MS Word unless I am writing a letter. That's why I mentioned Notepad. (MS Word is like a swear word for developers because it adds its very own code bloat to HTML code).

Everyone - I need to ask for your positive thoughts and prayers.
I got a phone call mid-morning today to go for a "second" interview for a job (here in the U.S.). I went for that interview this afternoon. I need this job SO badly so I can begin saving and planning my move back home. It's two years off but the planning starts now.
I pray that I get the job and that I at least enjoy it while I am here
