Re: My trip so far
Back in the land of the living dead now Had a quick shower and change of clothes then had to go to the office, which was all ok, as it kept my mind from thinking about stuff. But after catching up on a bit of sleep, I unpacked my cases and gave Mrs Triboy her presents from the UK and Korea, and showed what I bought myself from Bicester village (I made a few additions to my previous list in the shape of some shoes from Salvatore Ferragamo, Vans and some cuff links and belts from Dunhill ) homesickness has kicked in.
My wife commented on the fact that she can't wait to get out of here not only for my sake but just to be in a country where the shopping is so good and people have some style. I couldn't agree more. Then it all hit me how utterly boring it is here, and I'm in Sydney. Driving from airport home was just a long procession of dullesville suburbia without any sense of comfort or being 'home' at all
Now I can't sleep Had an email from my sister, Mum and Dad, and one from my youngest nephew asking me to come back soon as he misses me a lot My sister said he was very upset when they all got back to her house from LHR.
I brought a couple of editions of the Bucks Free Press paper with me so we can look at some houses for a price guide. Hope we can turn it into reality soon, but it won't happen until end of 09 at best.
Bah humbug

Ah, you poor thing
I know exactly how you feel. Leaving family and home sucks doesn't it. When I come back from my annual Christmas visit to Scotland, I feel so depressed, it's awful. I know it's going to happen, and there is nothing you can do about it
But, just think, 2009 isn't that far away now. If you move back at the end of 2009, it will only be a matter of approximately one measly year........it'll fly by
P.S. your pics were lovely

That's the reason I won't go home again until it's for good T. It just turns me inside out having to come back here and, I end up having all kinds of 'adjustment problems' because I am so very sad and know I don't belong here. What a waste of life eh? Hope you feel better soon mate.

Re: My trip so far
It's a very long story M, but in a nutshell, my son and I have never truly settled. OH has made promises he's not kept, time went by and circumstances 'kept' us here. Son has now graduated from uni and is considering doing a Masters degree. He still says he wants to go 'home', but he has a long term girlfriend (been together 4 years next month) and that brings it's own problems into the mix. OH loves his work and is a true workaholic and I have slowly but surely become a shadow of the person I used to be. I never wanted to return alone, we always agreed we'd do this together, but my health is seriously suffering so I am now considering my options.
