Where are good places for me to consider?
I know this is very vague, but it's because i really have no idea.
I'm desperate to leave the UK, mostly for financial reasons. My situation is very unusual, I have no income and haven't done a regular job in about 20 years.
Been living on gambling winnings the whole time, so my CV would be non-existant. My savings are dwindling away and i now have less than £70k left, although i do have huge collections of dvds, blu rays and collectibles that are worth around 20k-30k if i sold them individually on ebay. It would obviously take forever though, we're talking thousands of items. I have type 1 diabetes, which obviously is an added problem. I'm thinking if i could move somewhere really cheap, i could maybe buy a property for around £30-£40k then start a business of some sort with the rest, or get a part-time job to pay the bills. I have degree-equivalent computer qualifications, but having not worked in the field (or any field) in 20 years my CV would be hopeless. I'm still pretty clued up, i built my own PC last year, but CV-wise nada! I also would like to have a go at writing, so a part time job would probably be ideal.
I can live on very meagre amounts, in the UK i can live on about 2k a year excluding bills. I don't need to live the high life. I only speak English. I would consider taking a degree in the UK, if it would help me get a visa to live and work abroad, but it would be a second choice really. I would consider pretty much anywhere in the world to move to. Obviously Covid and Brexit are going to complicate things.
Any ideas or personal experiences would be gratefully received!

Anywhere in Asia, South America or most of Africa is pretty cheap compared to Western countries

All of these places are full of people who will be happy to "help". Trust no one.

Forget Asia/Africa. Getting a visa will be very difficult without proof of income. EU is somewhat easier but they may also ask for income & medical insurance.

Given the OP's health issues, I would consider moving anywhere outside the UK to be undesirable as healthcare will be some combination of more expensive and less comprehensive than the NHS in the UK pretty much anywhere in the world. Given the sort of life he appears to be contemplating I would have though that moving to somewhere remote in the UK would be the best decision under his circumstances.

From personal experience, Bulgaria or Romania might be possible. I had permanent residence in Bulgaria from 1994 to 2011. Access to healthcare is possible if you can secure residence.

Which is what I alluded to in post #6 above - leave the warm bosom of the NHS and you invariably face a choice of less covereage or more cost.

In Bulgaria you can go for part state, part private. NHS is better. Stay in the UK. Or, as it disintegrates, come and join us in Scotland.
