Default Paris, 33?C on Monday

Hotter tomorrow, then the cooling is supposed to start in
and move down to the low 20s next weekend.

Are you trying to make those of us in foggy San Francisco jealous?
Actually, it is probably 23C here today and it feels downright balmy.

Hotter is easy to believe. Cooler I'll believe when I see it.

Who would be jealous of 33° C?

If SF is sunny, whatever the temperature, it is nice. Our friend, Scott
(who wrote the book on Paris Café history) is about to do his yearly
escape act here and come from Half Moon Bay to Paris for a couple of months.
This is the period of your summer fog. Dana remarks in his book on "Two
Years before the Mast) of having to stand off shore at Monterey for a half
a day in the summer before entering the bay.

The only change in this last 200 years is that global warming is
making Northern California a happy hunting ground for the great
white shark.

Sounds like a nice place for Grunge to go swimming.

Salut.

You have expressed doubts in the past. I posted updates on the coming
temperatures and qualitatively they have followed the earlier
5-7 day projections.

The main problem now is not the temperature but the pollution.
The air is not moving and the ozone levels are building in the
Parisian area.

Why y'all talking about Paris? We had a shade temp of 92F in Surrey, UK on
Sunday.
It's not the heat or the pollution that's the problem, but the bloody
humidity with it. Last night was impossible!

Both high temperature and high humidity are extremely uncomfortable. A
combination of the two is deadly.

When you have a lot of fog during the summer and very few balmy
nights... you often are jealous of the occasional really hot day (at
least I am). Still... the weather in SF is lovely right now.
