It's often like that at that time of year. We used to go to wine festivals in
the Koblenz area at the end of September beginning of October. In 10 years only
one was a wet weekend.

Based on that - try this:

Wonderful architecture, beautiful city, incredibly cheap
cuisine by your standards - and a great photo every few
paces.

I'm a little biased:-)

I haven't been in April, others can tell you what the
weather's like then but the chart on that page doesn't look
too bad.

Granada at Easter (Easter Sunday is April 8 this year) was
incredible. As to weather, I was there in 2003 for 5 days
over Easter:
http://loraltravel.blogspot.com/2006/10/granada.html

Three days were fine, sunny and warm, two were wet miserable
and cold. And the Alhambra was marvellous.

Why not? For me, Tasmania is overseas:-)

If you have your own kids, it's fairly normal to go on holiday with them.

But the OP has found a difference between prices in April and June.

Remember the OP??

or even several short trips.

We went to Neuschwanstein and Schloss Linderhof once at Easter in April, there
was still plenty of snow on the ground. Magic!

Munich is the capital of Bavaria, with all the things capital cities have.

I did wonder if Erick had been to Munich.
