Ummm... I think you mean 'safe', not 'save'. And don't knock Macedonia, it's
got beautiful Lake Ohrid. Makes a lovely stopover on your way to Albania.

Admittedly, there was a heavy military presence when I was there 6 months
back. Felt quite safe. And it was stunning - cheap and friendly too! I would
not hesitate in going back there unless there was another big flareup of
trouble.
Actually that's quite possible, isn't it? Watch this space...

Considering that the Arabs have been responsible for 99% of terrorist
acts in the world, it's surprising that the number of incidents
relating to Arabs/Moslems in the US have been relatively few and
isolated. In fact, fewer than Arab/Moslem or skinhead attacks on
Jews or Jewish institutions in Europe.
Overall, however, it's far safer to be an American walking the
streets of most European cities at night than to be an American
walking the streets of American cities at night.

Completely safe, rest assured. The world basically does not consist of a
bunch of wild-eyed fanatics: the ones you see on TV. Indeed, travelling to
Iraq at this point could be risky, as you might be killed by American
firepower. Other than that, I would doubt you would have any problems -
providing you use Commen Sense. And that is what you use whether you are in
Detroit or Iraq, or Dullville or Europe.

Frankly, it would be safer to be out of the US given the likes of Bush,
Asscroft and his jack booted thugs..........

Ask those in Northern Ireland and the British mainland about that.
It wasn't Arabs who blew up Canary Wharf, the whole city centre of
Manchester, etc. etc., etc.

Not forgetting all the fundraising for the terrorists that took place in,
er, USA.

I'm from Tampa, Lightning Capital of the World. ('Tampa' is an Indian
word meaning 'sticks of fire'.) The instant I step off the plane in a
distant place my life expectancy goes up.
