Default American Travel

Really: should North Americans be travelling throughout Europe right
now or not? Is it safe for us, given the current political & global
climate?

Thanks.

Desmond, you are an extremely silly person. I love it.

I bet it is safer to be an American in Europe than it is to be Arab in
America.

Oh good God no. You should not go to Europe at this perilous time. Since
you are worried enough to ask the question you will surely be on edge the
entire time you are in Europe and not be able to enjoy yourself. Better you
should stay safe and protected in the USA. Why not visit culturally rich
Las Vegas? You can pretend you are in Europe. Hell they even have a
recreation of the Eiffel Tower and Venice there. Cool huh?

(my goal is to be the only American S.O.B. in Europe this year and have it
all to myself)

Perhaps it depends upon the milieu in which you move - I'm sure
intelligent Europeans do not hold all of us responsible for the idiot
running our country at present. (They realize a good half of us did not
even vote for him!)

The question should be-should Europeans even consider travelling to the US,
given the fact that the country is such an obvious terrorist target?

When you say "global climate" do you mean you are afraid of global
warming ? :-)

Even if that's the case, don't worry... There's nothing wrong with
climate (even political) in Spain. You are welcome here. You can also
go to the Netherlands, as Avie said in other post, but I would wait
until summer to go there... too cold and rainy now :-P

Hahahaha okay you're right Alejandro, cold okay.. but it didn't had rain in
10 days! :-)

But realy USA citizens... Europe is save, and as big as the USA... and when
there was a tornado in Florida... were the people in Texas sitting in there
bunkers because of that tornado?
And when you are afraid to come close to a conflict or war stay away from
Serbia, Macedonia, Kosovo, Irland(only the border at UK), Ukrain and
Moldavia, and maybe France, but just because a lot of (stupid) Franceman
only listen to what they want to hear from there government. But still...
Paris can not life without tourists.
But in Spain, Italy, Germany, Belgium, United Kingdom, Irland, all of the
Scandinavian countries, Poland, Czech Republik, Hongaria, Romania, Greece
etc etc.. and of course the Netherlands are realy save. I think even saver
when the war starts and US of A is realy becoming a target for the missiles
from Saddam.
And even the Turkeys westcoast is save (and nice).

Yeah I ment safe.
Lake Ohrid is wonderfull!!! I lived in Skopje for 6 month and Ohrid was a
perfect weekendbreak!!! But I was talking about places where American could
have a saFe holiday... and at the moment I would not feel safe in
Macedonia.. but okay... it's a personal opinion. But again: Ohrid is a sort
of paradise in Europe... Loved it there!
