We were offered an interesting deal up near Montinhos. Move in with a deposit (it's newly refurbed and empty), 12 months to complete (once we sell back in the UK!!) - if we can't sell in time, we get 50% of our deposit back and it reverts to a rental.
It's a nice villa but now my wife is having second thoughts about the location - may be too far out the centre for her.
